Young Hen Sitting, Need Advice.

My silkie hen has been sitting on her eggs for several days now. There are 10-12 other chickens of different ages in the same pen. When the chicks hatch, will I have to separate them and the hen from the rest of the flock?

The best way to do it is in the first place put the hen in a separate pen
Then choose if you want to separate the chicks
Which I do so I can work with them everyday so they become tame.

My chickens are in a series of connecting 10x10 kennels. I can separate the hen and chicks if needed. My question is are the other chickens likely to harm the baby chicks? This is my first time letting a hen hatch the eggs. I've been using an incubator.
