Young Hens and Older Roo

We have nine 8 week old hens that we got from MPC. I found someone who has a great roo that is about a year old. Can I integrate an older roo into a younger flock? I'd love to have a roo, DH says no roos. I need to know if this will work first before I start to campaign.

I'd be more comfortable waiting until they get closer to laying age. Whether it works or not will depend largely on the rooster. If he's a nice guy to his ladies, it will work. If he's like a hormonal teen, he'll probably be too rough on them especially if he tries to breed them before they're even close to being ready.
