Young Male Golden Pheasant picks at his young female eyes

Can somebody tell me what I can do as my young 9 month old golden pheasant has started to pick at the eyes of his female companion who now looks terribe. It looks so red!
 
That is a side effect from breeding season. They get rough with the girls this time of year... Give her a place to hide and possibly another hen. Maybe one isn't enough for this little feller's lovin...
 
WHILE NO BODY EVER REALLY CARES FOR THEM PEEPERS ARE AN OPTION IF ONLY TEMPORARILY UNTIL YOU CAN GET IT SORTED OUT... I'D RATHER PUT A PEEPER ON HIM THAN HAVE A BLIND OR DEAD HEN.
