Young pilgrim gander eyes Not blue?

Earl is seven weeks old. He’s a pilgrim gander, but his eyes are not blue. Do they turn blue eventually ? Like gradually? I don’t remember if Charlie (my original gander who is Earl’s dad) had the blue eyes when he was that young but I kind of think he did.

I believe they change at around 7-8 months of age when the gander is mature.
