Young Plymouth Rock rooster? Or hen?

They look pink to me also.

They might be, monitors are so different, so could just be the way color shows on mine. It just looks like pale yellow with dark wash on the front on mine. Definite pullet, though. The owner should just check the legs out and see if they appear whitish or yellowish.

Okay, that helps a great deal, they're not yellow, then. She could be a Cuckoo Marans or just a cross. If she's any Barred Rock at all, there's something else at play because the leg color is wrong.

I had a friend whose entire BR shipment had off color legs, but everything else about them was Plymouth Rock, including egg color. Hatchery stock is so varied, it's hard to say what the deal is. If you cross a BR with a Cuckoo Marans, since white skin is usually dominant (if I recall my genetics facts), you can get a bird who looks like a BR in every way except leg color.
