Young pullet comb question

Not sure where to ask this, this copper marans comb/beak looking a little darker, is this normal? He/she is about ten weeks old or so. I’ve not determined for sure whether hen/rooster. My other two bcm do not have combs so I can’t compare. This one’s comb has not grown much in three weeks we’ve had it but is looking darker? Not sure what to make of that. Thanks in advance.

That's a cockerel. Males develop bigger and brighter combs and wattles earlier than females do.
