I have a young bantam cocchin pullet who is having trouble walking and standing. I just noticed it yesterday. Not sure her exact age maybe 6 weeks. She's still eating and drinking fine and is in good spirits. I am wondering about vitamin deficiency or coccidiosis. It seems like I can't treat both at the same time. She seems fine besides being wobbly. What should I be looking for to help me determine what's wrong? Closest poultry vet is over an hour away. Any help is appreciated. I'll get some pictures tomorrow.

Welcome To BYC

Can you post photos of her and her poop?

Where is she being kept?
What do you feed?

Is she the only chick?

Here she is and her poop. She's with 3 other pullets that are younger than her. They all seem to be fine. She's walking around today but still kind of wobbly. They are out in the yard in a little pen and at night go in the coop in a separated area feom the bigger birds. They are on a non medicated feed feom the feed store, not sure the brand of it.

Cute!

Since she seems to be eating/drinking o.k., but she's wobbly, I'd start her on vitamin therapy to see if that helps.

Give 400IU Vitamin E and 1/4 tablet B-Complex daily along with a bit of egg to help with the uptake of E.

Your feeding chick starter correct?

Yes I am feeding chick starter. Can I dose vitamins in the water for all the chicks or should I do her individually. I assume if she isn't getting enough vitamins they might not be either. I did get some rooster booster for all of them but it showed up as little pellets not a liquid. Also can I use vitamins intended for humans if I can't find poultry specific ones?
