How's your sitting hen doing? I've got one too....she plops down whenever the chance.

My hens are doing well. I ended up treating them for mites/lice. I believe that was the problem. I did 2 pyrethrin dips a week apart, and completely cleaned the coop & run, then sprayed the coop, especially cracks and the roof. That seemed to help the most. Then I did it again a few months later. Now I use Scaly Leg mite spray every month or so on them because I believe they keep picking this up, for example when the egg laying gets lower. This is something that can kill a bird apparently. And I work to keep the coop as clean as possible. That really helps too. I spray their legs, then wait 1-2 days and spray them again. I think that works well to keep them healthier & happier.
