young pullet stopped laying

I have two Red stars and some others. One of my young Stars laid one nice sized egg but it had some blood on the shell. ever since she has tried to lay everyday but with no success. Can anyone give some helpful advice.

pullets are very irregular egg layers. Maybe she stressed herself ot laying that egg??

I agree. When they start laying it may be a bit erratic at first as their bodies adjust.

So maybe I should give her some time before I cull her out as not being a layer?

Oh yes, she definitely needs some time! My RIR laid her first egg, and then didn't lay another for over a week! Then, she started laying a beautiful brown egg every single day.
