Ok so I’m curious about different breeds of roosters and when they start crowing! I have a Mille fleur d’uccle that is fast maturing and started trying to crow this morning (so cute, never heard that before!!!) but I also have 3 silver laced polish outside that were supposedly pullets but we are pretty sure that one is a roo, he’s approximately 14 weeks...about 6 weeks older than the d’uccle. Anyone know when they start crowing? Or are we just crazy and they are pullets ?!? I think it's a cockerel too, although I've never had Polish. Cockerels start trying to crow when they feel like it, and their age varies. My youngest ever was a 28 day old Fayoumi, who hadn't grown his neck feathers yet (they were stubs) and threw his little head back to squeak anyway. Adorable!
Enjoy your boys, love the d'Uccles.
