Young rooster

I am new in this game!! When do roosters become sexually active? We have 1 rooster, 1 white sussex hen, 2 bantam mille fleur and a bantam frizzle. Don't want him to injure any of the bantams by having a go!! We have already had one fatality this week of one mille fleur who was stood on by the rooster - he just doesn't look where he is going and is so much bigger than they are!

It varies, but they can attempt mating behavior at very young ages - 2 to 3 months. They mate by stepping on hens backs. You may want to separate him until all your hens are grown.
