So my turkey that I got as a baby in March is sitting on the duck eggs. She hasn’t even started laying eggs yet.

Yes she is. She hasn’t started laying eggs yet. So far I’ve had a chicken, turkey, goose, and my duck taking turns sitting on the eggs.

I don’t even know if my drake is doing his job. The last batch of eggs were all duds. And my duck was the only one sitting on them last time. I was thinking I might candle them but someone told me to leave the eggs alone. I just worry about them exploding because someone told me if they do then they will contaminate the rest of the eggs. Any suggestions should I candle them or just leave them and see what happens.

If it will make you feel better, go ahead and candle the eggs.

I too would candle. You don't want them turning into exploding stink bombs.

I generally candle a nest at least once to remove any that aren't developing.
