So, I have had cockerals crow at 5 days(bantam cochin) and start acting rooish but today took the cake. I put my hand in the brooder to take the waterer out and the same chick gives me a hard time and pecks me, but being not even 2 weeks old it doens't phase me. I am usually in a rush so I don't bother messing with it. Well, tonight I decided to try to figure out this one's problem. I left my hand in there and this little ee, who still has fuzz and only a few feathers, jumps in my hand, grabs hold and starts rubbing himself on me
I couldn't believe it. I picked HIM up and looked at his little comb and sure enough he has a nice wide 3 row comb(not red yet of course). I have just never had any chicks try to mate this young
