Your 2025 Garden

It's 70° now and the sun is out. It's time to start the tiller and make some weeds that have germinated regret their decision.

With impending 80° in a week I'm going to try a little experiment with some Black Eyed peas and maybe a few Roma II bush beans. I'm thinking I can put out a row of each and be prepared to protect them from a late frost with a frost blanket. I'm really wanting some fresh peas and beans with a ham hock now.

This year my garden for the most part is going to be raised hugelkultre pallet beds. I have posted pictures in the "What did you do in the garden today", thread. I have so many seeds that I don't know if I should buy anymore. I know that I need to get rhubarb, Swiss Chard and more herb seeds and also more strawberry plants. I need more strawberries than almost anything else. My potatoes are doing good so far.

I know that I need to get rhubarb,
It's best to get rhubarb plants. The seeds don't always grow into the type of plant that is described, when looking for really red rhubarb.
.
You also get a head start on how long you have to wait before starting to harvest the rhubarb.

The same applies to asparagus.
