Your 2025 Garden

Pics
Started my seeds today. Different varieties of tomatoes, peppers, and herbs. Also did asparagus for the first time. I know that takes a few years to be able to harvest but at least it's started

Watered the seedlings yesterday. Talked to the tomatoes and peppers. Grow babies, grow!
Yeah, I talk to my plants.

The weather is looking good for the next week. Some nights are cool but no freezing temps. I think I will move the cabbage to the greenhouse and start the hardening off process. I need to get a row ready for them in the garden but today will be yard clean up. Small limbs, pinecones and straw everywhere from the recent winds.

I have about a dozen petunias growing under the lights for the flower beds and hanging baskets. I may move those out today also.

It's actually beneficial to talk to our plants. The carbon dioxide we release when we talk is used by the plants to make oxygen. The #1 symbiotic relationship🥰

Spring is looking up in these parts. I went to town this morning and saw a horse rolling on his back on the really green grass. Not only is our grass green but is tall enough the cows are getting a belly full without walking all day long looking for it. I need about 3-4 more days and the cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower plants will be big enough to safely transplant. I'll plant some spinach and collards with a direct seeding at the same time. If I can borrow a strong back I'll get the raised bed ready for carrots and beets.
