Your 2025 Garden

We have wild strawberries here, but they're small. I feed them to my flock, who go crazy over the treat!
Most wild strawberries are tiny. Like I mentioned, if you find one the size of a marble you've found a large one . Have you tasted your local variety? You're within the native habitat for Fragaria Virginiana - you might find a sweet surprise.

We have these. I often see the deer and rabbits in the area that they grow. I think the berries are what they are after.

If you prune out "suckers" from the elbow of tomato plants you can put them in water and in a couple days they will have roots and you will free new plants!

Took about a week before any roots developed.

It's been a busy week. Cabbage is planted. Potatoes are sprouting.

Something is jumping in and digging in the potato row. It looks like chicken dust bathing holes. I sat crates in the row and it dug beside the crates. May set a live trap. I'm thinking maybe a cat or squirrel??? My chickens are in a covered run.
Oops I got my finger. 🫣

Bees were all over the collards blooms.

Black Krim and Big Beef tomatoes are ready for planting out. We have a possible frost coming mid week after having 90 degree temps for several days. Hoping it will be the last frost.
