Yes, but it doesn't look like the other volunteers so unless the parents are two different types of pumpkins it's likely crossed with something else.
Many of the pumpkins available today are hybrids. It would be more likely for two seeds from the same pumpkin to produce different fruits than it would be for them to produce the same fruit.

Possible zucchini cross? What did you plant last year?

My pumpettis were pretty good.
I have NEVER grown pumpkins until this year, so I don't think it's a squash/pumpkin cross. I did give a whole pumpkin to my flock last year, and a couple seeds may have survived, hidden in the chicken run compost that was eventually added to the raised beds.

It was 98f with 110 heat index yesterday. We had a storm mid afternoon. Temperture dropped to 81f, heat index 92. Had another storm late last night.
Rain was welcome with this heat.

Earlier in the day I picked more tomatoes. I looked everything over. Spent the rest of the day mostly hiding from the heat.

My hot peppers,5 varieties, have a good number of bloom and more coming on. The bees are all over them. Hopefully they give me good set. DW is picking Zukes and her other veges are doing well. I can't believe we are still getting enough Straw berries for short cake every couple of days, but winding down.

Beans and Summer squash (1st planting) are dying, normal.

Second sowing of Summer squash is blossoming, 3rd sowing of beans are blossoming as well.

Pumpkin vines are dying, leaving about 6-8 pumpkins behind, turning orange. The second volunteer squash is also a pumpkin plant!
:p

Tomatoes are overwhelming me. Chickens get some, the rest go to work.

I located some melons.

I've got some tomatoes coming in and blossoms on some beans. Only 13 out of 48 bean plants came up, I even replanted 12 more and none of them came up. I've never had issues with beans before and will be getting different seeds to plant in the garlic patch when I pull that soon. I just don't understand the issues with the beans this year and that bums me because green beans are my favorite veggie, I always grow at least 48 plants for my small family of three. Canned, frozen, dehydrated, fresh, love them every way
