Ruthless People ~ Danny DeVito/Bette Midler... hilarious

Trading Places ~ Eddie Murphey/Dan Aykroyd/Jaime Lee Curtis... also hilarious

Lord of the Rings trilogy (I think I liked the 2nd one the best)

Star Wars (original 3)

Princess Bride

Chocolat

I'll leave it as those for now

What a great selection already, many favs.

I do love westerns though - Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (Oh how I loved Paul Newman and Robert Redford) ranks right up there.

For comedy, there are many - Planes, Trains and Automobiles always makes me laugh.

For family/kids - it has to be Chicken Run. I howl at it. We owned a copy and when we babysat one of our grandkids (3 years old at the time) had to give it to him because he loved it too. (Of course, we had to get another copy for us)

For action, nothing could beat the first time I saw Speed. My cousin and I had never seen it and were watching it with her husband. The two of us were climbing the back of the couch with the elevator scene and didn't calm down much. Her DH decided to watch it later because we were too distracting.

For musicals - How about Sound of Music. Who doesn't know most of the words and singalong sometimes.

I'd better stop now since it was supposed to be favorite. Oh well, I tried.
