Finally, my hen has decided THIS is the time to try hatching her clutch of eggs. Saturday there were 3 eggs, Sunday she decided it was a good idea to set and keep them safe.

I have read the advice given, placed food & water in easy reach, so she feels right at home, no need to roam.

If she's not separated, be sure to mark the eggs! Otherwise other hens will sneak their eggs in and you'll have a mess with eggs at different stages of development. Also when the first chicks hatch, momma will have to decide whether to hatch the other eggs or go be a momma to the babies. Either way, chicks will die.
