I am giving an informative speech about keeping backyard flocks. I would love to hear anything and everything you would say to potential enthusiasts or even to those neighbors who don't understand the passion. Anything you can share about your personal experience, pros and cons, expenses, eggs, breeding, showing, etc. This can be about any bird! Chickens, turkeys, waterfowl, etc.
Thoughts from "urban farmers" - within city limits, suburbia, or at least with nearby neighbors, are especially appreciated!
Information from people who run a business or make money from their birds or eggs is also wonderful.
