Hi

What is your favorite hatchery and why?

Thankyou

Ideal Hatchery in Texas.
I have two beautiful, healthy flocks from them. One is three years old, the other 8 months old.

Ideal was good to me. I found that ideal was cheaper than meyer.

Ideal is my hatchery! They have a huge selection of breeds I can choose from (including some rare ones) and also they have waterfowl and game birds. They have a minimum of $25 spent so you can order about 7 or so chickens which is really nice for people wanting a small flock.

I ordered from Stromberg's on Dec. 1st, they arrived on Dec 3rd. Out of 25, 1 died on the 3rd day, the rest are VERY healthy. I have been told they drop ship, but I don't care where they come from as long as they live and are healthy.

I used Welp last year and was very satisfied. I also use Central Hatchery for my broilers since they are just a few miles away and have been happy with their birds. This year I ordered replacement layers from Ideal, not because I don't like Welp , but to get a different strain of birds for breeding purposes. We'll see how Ideal does, so far I'm impressed with their customer service.
