We raised 16 Cornish X and we have a few left in the freezer now. We've had some experience with these birds. These birds are great, they are way better than store bought ones. We ate one that was a modern game rooster, we live in the city so we can't have roosters, so we ate it. Sadly, it sucked
. We fried it and it was like rubber. Finally we orders 16 Cornish X in the mail. They grew up in about 12 weeks when we butchered and froze them. We experimented them a little and we ate them in chicken noodle soup, BBQ, deep fry, and on sandwiches and salads. Now don't get me wrong, they were all delicious (way better than than the rooster we fried
). But my by far favorite one we had was rosted in the oven. I guess you could also do it on a rotisserie. Any way, we put thyme and rosemary. We also chopped up some potatoes like home fries and baked them with thyme and rosemary. We baked the chicken on a pan it the oven for a few hours. We took it out let it sit and drained the greed. It was perfect, sooo good
. I gave my mom one for Mother's Day and told her about my favorite, she cooked it like that and she said it's the best she's ever had. Hope you try it and like it
