Your Near Death Experience

I read this thread hoping you'd all talk about what you saw on the other side of the veil, AFTER you died and before you came back.

I don't want to be the only one.

Mahonri-my thoughts exactly but this is the most interesting thread. Mac...you must have nine lives from what all you have been through and Lisa, .......... and so many others....

to each of you.

thats what I was hoping for. Stories like that make me feel as though I will surely see AJ when I go. There was actually an article not too long ago about a teen and her near death/died experience it was incredible as she was able to linger out of her body while she was in a comma and was able to move around the hospital in spirit form before she woke up. It was an amazing story and gave me a lot of faith.

OK, I'll tell you about what happened to my Grandmother. She had a heart attack and died. She was brought back by restarting her heart. She died shortly after that but did get to relate her previous experience. She found herself at the bottom of golden staircase. Jesus was seated at the top and she could see that he had his arms outstretched to her. Then they pulled her back.

Now for my experience. I didn't die, but it was close. Many years ago, I was on a plane that almost crashed. The plane amost went down into the sea. The airline crew was getting everybody into a crash position (seabelts on and heads between your knees). It felt like the plane was in a nosedive, then the pilot was able to pull it back up. Of course, I was too stubborn to put my head between my knees. I looked out the window instead. It's pretty wierd being in a jumbo jet that was about to go in the ocean. Then when the pilot managed to pull the nose up, I just about got whiplash. Then it seemed like we were on a rocket to the moon as we regained altitude. We went on to safely land in Tokyo. I was once also on a plane that was nearly in a midair collision over the airport in Chicago. Everyone on my side of the plane got to look out in horror and see the faces of the other plane's passengers looking back out their windows in horror as we barely slid by eachother.

Well, I can update my near-death experience! On my way to work at 8:40 this AM, I was driving down our winding road the way I don't usually go (I was going to pick up cat food on my way in), when a power pole with a transformer snapped and broke, showering sparks, about 30 yards ahead of me!
ep.gif
The power lines criss-cross over the road, and they all came down - one of which dangled and swayed a COUPLE FEET over my car! It was clear behind me, but the road is really curvy right there, and people speed (it's a 35mph zone - everyone goes 45), so I was really nervous backing up w/my hazards on, trying to stay on the road while keeping as far to the non-existent shoulder as I could - while watching the swaying power line....when a car comes up behind me AND HONKS AT ME, and goes around me, followed by another car - where they promptly see why it's a good idea to back the hell out of there! I was shaking, and turned around. And the honker has the nerve to tailgate for 3 miles as we're getting out of there!
BTW - If I had been speeding, I would have been right where that transformer hit the ground....

Thought of more....

Was helping the next community over with a large house fire. I was running our engine pumping water around behind the house to one of there guys that was spraying a big propane tank trying to keep it cold. Between the tank an the house was a downed power line that he did not see fall. When some flames shot out of the house beside him he went to spray them an crossed the power line with the water stream. Because the hose he was holding is insulated he just saw a light show but the charge followed the water up the hose to my truck where I was standing in water an holding the steal controls of the pumper. Knocked me on my rear.

Another fire in my district, I was there running my truck in the middle of the road. A man from another department was in the house on the hose. Something happened where he had slam the valve closed. Always a no no. The water "water-hammered" back to the truck making the several hundred pounds of hose jump off the ground. It hit me right between the eyes an knocked me cold in the middle of the road.

As for what I have seen from the other side? Sorry to say that I aint seen squat.

Rebelcowboy - I know I'd be an absolute wreck if married to you (or any fire/rescue/policeman)!
I really hate power lines. It wasn't even windy (but was earlier).
