Just wanted to know what yype of duck is the majorities favorite.
So tell me, then tell me why.

I have never had ducks (yet) but I love the runner ducks and the weeder geese . . .the runners are just so cute and elegant looking to me . . . and the weeder geese (I know, not ducks) can help with the weeds!!! My kind of feathered friend!!!

My opinion is always important ... to me.

Muscovies, very quiet, even with neighbors, large meat birds (If I'm gonna roast it, it better make a few meals), not "cute" so you don't feel as bad about dispatching.

Silver Appleyards, my #2 choice, And once we move out of town, we'll work with both, since the Appleyards are threatened, they'll be for breed improvement, while the muscovies are for dinners.

In general the philosophy here is breed the best, eat the rest.

I too like the Muscovy. It is quiet, funny-looking, and does not get in my KOI pond. It is kinda ugly though (males). Big and quiet.
