Your shipped eggs....

Nope, not really. If the box is crushed, you may be able to get money, but if every egg is broken, but the box is intact, you cannot collect anything, is my understanding. Besides, do you really know where the line broke down, whether it was your local P.O. or your distribution center?

well I cant track the package because she never sent me a tracking # and also if she did send a tracking # they dont update there site. But she is from NC and packages sent priority take 2 days to get to NJ. I used to send my ex presents for christmas.
I am going to go online soon and get the phone number and call the PO. I want to check if I have a package there and the person was just to lazy to set it on the porch

You just never know, though. I sent a pkg to CoreyNC from Culberson NC to her home in NC. Took 3 days. No guarantees, remember? Where was the pkg for those days? Who knows? I don't usually put tracking on it. It does no good. If it's lost, doesn't matter where it is because then by the time it gets where it's going, if it does, the eggs have lost hatchability. Knowing where they were doesn't help.

The hatched rate on shipped eggs varies because of the handling during shipping in addition to the packaging by the seller. Then on top of that, the incubation process may not be perfect, either. So, whether it was good or bad hatch rate, may have not necessarily to do with the shipping itself or it can be the combination of factors.

k thanks Cyn. so tomorrow would be the 3rd day since the package was shipped on monday right? I still want to call and make sure because once there was a package and as the lady was about to pull into our drive she said forget and left.

I might just stick with buying on this forum then ebay. Prices are better

One thing I like to do is to put an official HOLD on my packages the week I'm expecting eggs. That way they can call me to get them, or I just call and see if they came in and I go to the local P.O. to get them myself. Then they are not left up by the road or on my porch in extreme heat or cold.

My last batch of eggs (shipped priority with a tracking #) was sent LAST monday. Just got to me this Monday.. so much for three days.

I can't explain the PO's behavior for the rest of the year.. but right now I know there is a huge amount of mail/packages going on. It's funny, although these eggs *might* not make it

I realize right now was my fault for them taking so long (picked a bad time of year.. should have known better and practiced some delayed gratification

). Hopefully better shipping in the spring.. LOL!

I hope your eggs get there soon! I watched for the post every day.. constantly.. checked the mail every hr on the hour.. Felt like it took MONTHS.
