Your thoughts on what breeds to look for

I love EE's and Jersey Giants but out of my flock my Golden Sexlink is the best. You don't hear to much talk about them but she follows my around like a dog and is always happily chirping in my arms as I walk around the yard with her. She has learned her name as well and she leaves me an egg every day since she started laying all in all I love them the best.

Every one has there favorite breeds and you will have yours I personally don't like BR she was the worst hen I have had

You guys are not making this decision any easier!!! It is fun thinking about which ones to get.
Right now we have a red sex link who is very sweet, a dominique that is very sweet, a black sex link that is about 20 weeks and will come over to get snacks, but still not sure of us, a mutt/maybe red sex link although color is more beige than red- still young and flighty, and a white rock which is really shy.
Looking for color variety( helps kids to know who is who too), friendly and egg production. Love me some colored eggs so those that lay whites are not my ideal right now. My red and dominique give me nice eggs almost every day and my rock gives me an egg about every other day although she laid a monster egg earlier this week so she is ok to not give us one every day after that one!! the other two are not laying yet. Hopeing in next month or so they will be ready.
So adding 2 more in spring and we are done.

Like the EE and Favorelles for looks, but also like the BO and how friendly they are. hmmm...
