Buff Orpingtons rock!!! (I should know I have 6)

Yeah, I have five! They are very friendly girls and my Maggie has hatched many chicks for us. She is the best Mom ever! She just "left" this chick and is laying eggs again this week. I saw her do it!

Black Jersey Giants

probably because they were my first, but they are so large so perfect for meat production but also good layers. And I seem to have a bias with preferring brown eggs. Maybe because I associate white eggs with grocery store eggs.

Yay! I have two black jersey giant hens. So pretty they are, and yes, good layers for me too!
