not sure about the veins... i just deat with almost the same thing. my little one was completely glued inside, just had to help him out

there was a little blood and he had pooped all in the egg. his eye and wing were completely glued with the membrane. dont know if he will make it... must not be a good hatching time for anyone. fingers crossed for your little one.

Well I woke up to 2 surprises this morning , the morning of day 24 first surprise is that toughie is still alive

and trying to get out and second surprise is a chick hatched over night or early this morning

I thought all my eggs were dead except toughies.
Toughie was still glued to his shell so I used q tips to mosten it all up and took of about half the shell and membrane , there still seems to be a kinda big vien on the top fo the membrane so I freed all of him except his rump and a little of his back , moistened it around the edges and put himi back in , Ill help him some more in about an hour if he is still stuck. He pipped about 40 + hours ago .

I have every finger I have crossed for little Toughy. I'd call him Prince Valiant if he survives because he has made such an effort to live (or Princess, whatever the case may be...).

I think I like valiant though , isnt there a movie about a little pigeon named valiant that survives durning hte war against the odds or soemthing

yeah.....but there's also like a million rocky movies out there!
