Yup I did it - 4 chicks and 2 ducks

Hello from Indiana, I have been contemplating getting some poultry for awhile and when I found out that Rural King discounts their birds when they get 'too big' well I just had to do it. 4 Isa Browns ($1 ea.) and 2 ducklings of uncertain breed ($2 ea) on July 1st. I have some questions about the ducks - will find or start a thread elsewhere to ask.
They are in temporary but secure housing in my garage at night and outside during the day.
Thanks for all the great information provided here. Chickens I've had before the ducks are a whole new game lol...

If they are in your garage at night, be sure they don't have access to your tools (They might take apart your car)

Um too much poop not willing to hose the floor daily . They aren't running free, the chicks are in a livestock tank and the ducks in a xtra large plastic tote which they are quickly outgrowing already. But then the chicks are already flying to the top of the tank so I had to put a grate over it, probably trying to get to my tools lol. Working on other arrangements soon.

They haven't completed their tool safety course yet so the tools are OFF LIMITS!
