I almost feel like I should stop talking about the girls right now. They may or may not make it and sad as it will be to lose any one of them or all of them, I can't afford to treat three chickens at a vet, if I could even find one who knows what he's doing with poultry. If it appears that things are getting really bad and they can't recover, then it may come time to help things along and ease their misery.
For now, although Lorelei is very thin and has stopped laying, she is still eating and moving around every day almost like normal, at least to look at her. She does move very slowly, but she goes all over the place, scratching and eating and drinking with the rest of the girls. The other two are the ones in critical mode. And Zane may just have a long road back to standing on his own two feet. If he does heal up, I'll have a wonderful rooster for my flock and a great pal for myself, hopefully for years to come. He is the sweetest rooster I've ever had the pleasure to know; I wish you could all see this boy in person. He is amazing.
