Good luck! I hope if it is impacted crop you don't have to go as far as surgery!

Well, not sure. Checked all three. DH said last night, Ruby had a hard lump in spite of not eating and he massaged it (I went to bed way early from exhaustion, probably stress over all this stuff). And I remember seeing Lorelei's crop looking large for her not eating anymore than she has been. Ruby seems to now have nothing in her crop. Same with Lorelei. Rosemary has a little in there. We dosed them all with olive oil anyway and massaged the crop areas. Rosemary was running across the yard! She seems better today, thank goodness! I'll update you later on.

that would be great news!!!! I'm sure a sour crop or impacted crop could cause symptoms they've had.
How's Zane doing?

Oh, what a relief!!! How much oil did you give them and how did you give it to them? I really hope that's it because you can prevent that by giving them treats with oil in it from now on!!

We gave it to them straight, first by needleless medical syringe, then in some scrambled eggs that had oil in them. They got about 1cc each oil in them by syringe plus whatever they got on their eggs. You should have seen us making Ruby eat, opening her beak and putting pieces of oily egg in it. She kept spitting the eggs out, always the cantankerous woman. We also syringed vitamin laced water into her. Lorelei ate some eggs on her own, then Rosemary chowed down like nothing at all was ever wrong with her.
Zane is out in his sling right now, watching the 32 chicks in their pen running all over. His legs are hanging down, rather than drawn up at his body, a good sign. I see him grasping at a big stone that is laying in front of him, too, hopefully a good sign.

Well, it may not be so simple, but at least it was worth a try after what DH said he saw last night. Today, Rosemary seems almost normal. She's running around and eating just fine, so for right this moment, I'll consider Rosemary's issue solved. Lorelei is very weak, but still moving and eating. Why she maybe weighs 3-4 lbs when she should weigh 6-7, dont know. She seems to move, albeit in slow motion, from the time she leaves the roost in the morning till she goes to bed at night, so maybe she's expending all the calories she's taking in. Ruby is still the way she was. I don't feel what I think an impacted crop would feel like, like what DH said he felt last night, but they've been dosed with the oil, and massaged, so just maybe if there is anything wrong in there, it will solve the problem.
