Hi, all, just trying to pass some time till I know more. I finally found my sister's cell number on Caller ID and called it since no one called me to update me. My dad has a fever, so there is probably infection. I'm afraid that this will be one of those things that snowballs, all the way downhill. I hope not and he was in excellent shape before this, but he's about to turn 87 in a few days, and at that age, no telling how the body will handle all the stress and drugs.

Such a worry when they're older - they're so much more vulnerable. Even when my nearly 80 year old folks get a run of the mill respiratory virus I hold my breath. Hopefully they'll get your dad's infection nipped in the bud and he'll be no worse for wear. His good health going in will likely serve him well. Hoping this is one case where the universe is kind.
