I just don't understand. If it was one of our children or human family members, it would have been to the doctor already. I put my entire check on my dog (and I have 12 dogs) when he had a problem last April. That meant my house/land payment and my utility/water payments had to wait and I also got a second job working nights from 8pm to 4am Friday and Saturday nights. Its only an express store, like a 7-eleven store, gas and junk food, but it helps pay the bills. I don't have a DH anymore so I don't have to ask anyone's permission but I do have to depend upon myself. I have not regretted spending that money and five days in another city/town w/my Slade, one bit. I was lucky to have one last adult child home to care for the other dogs and cats, while the neighbors watered, fed and gathered eggs from my RIR hens (I provided all feed). This roo is definately worth the time and expense but is suffering while he could be getting help. I am not too proud to beg for help when it comes to my animals or (now adult) children. I would offer payment plans, I would discuss any which way to get help and expert help asap. I just don't get it.
