The most important rules for taking care of a zebra-

1) Feed it
2) Give it water
3) Provide Shelter
4) Stay away from it;s back legs!

Well, that last one was more for you....
 
I'll add to your list of things to stay away from in addition to the back legs...

1) Also stay away from the front legs - they WILL strike.
2) Stay away from their teeth - anything with teeth CAN bite....and that includes a crabby zebra!

My boyfriend when I was in college played percussion with the Ringling Bros. Circus. During rehearsals and performances of the opening parade, the zebras were wearing halters made of steel cable (covered with leather) and muzzles (NOT grazing muzzles)...they weren't playing with those zebras.

I visited with the trainers, and it didn't take long to conclued that........Zebras are nothing like horses. Nothing.

I still love to look at them, though!
