Has anyone ever had an egg where the pip and zip was too high on the shell? Resulting in a chick that can't get out because the cap it popped off is too small at the top? The fat end and the narrow end look very similar in size but it did pip the right end. It has totally zipped but just can't kick out and is chirping up a storm.

I would love some help because I think it might be the only egg that will make it out of this bunch.

It depends after 34 hours after pipping all the veins will be dry and so u can help it but in A VERY HUMID environment make sure the membrane won't dry out or it will die
If ur helping it see some helping videos on you tube or something keep it in humidity
HUMIDTY is EXXXXXXTREMLY Imporatnt if u help it keep wetting the membrane and to avoid drying it out and so see some one do it on you tube before u do it ur self and after hatching leave it in the incubator for 12 hours till its fluffs up

I have assisted backwards ones before... this poor guy is stuck, like butt and beak hanging out of a tiny hole in the top. It is an olive egger- 2nd gen, in a big beautify speckled green egg. Right now we are just hoping it has the strength to do it alone.

Haha, my two yr old daughter just looked in and said HELP it... even she can tell its not right.

Would you believe it made it! Zip process took 4 hours but it did it on its own. I kept an eye on it but it was making slow progress. It's zip cap was seriously smaller than a quarter! Luckily it was big and strong enough to crack the rest of the shell with its body and feet! It's a cuuuute lil thing!
