"Zombie" Chickens (Coming back from the dead?!)

I do when I'm trying to warm a bird up from freezing. If I don't feel anything, I stop, if I feel anything that might be a heartbeat, I continue.
Pray tell you mean the birds in the coop that "froze" from the cold, and not those you take out of the freezer after months of being in there. 🫣

Yes. We lose birds every winter to the cold (-30F and lower at night a lot), and of course, some are dummies and go outside when it's storming. Also have birds jump into the troughs and get chilled that way

There is actually a really famous series of Swedish childrens movies called "Emil i Lönneberga" where this sort of happens. The movie is set in the late 1800 and the farmers daughter goes outside to find all the yards chickens lifeless - but she manages to wake them up/bring them back to life again. Turns out they had been feasting on the fermented fruit left over from winemaking and simply passed out. 😁
Not really related to what might have happened in other peoples stories, but still kind of funny.

I believe they "hypnotized" the hens for the scene.

Youtube is amazing! I found all three of the films. 😁 They are actually a quite gorgeous depiction of countryside Sweden at that time. The landscape and everything are gorgous!
And at 1.20 ish you can see the revival of the chickens and at 1.10 you can see how it happens. 😅
