I am in Port St Lucie Florida. I have had my girls for 5 years last saturday Animal Control paid me a vist and told me I had 72 hours to get rid of them. In Florida you have the right to farm 823-14. Where I live is zoned General Use but then they stock in this ordinance. There are about 4-5 variations in the zoning laws some places chickens are farm animals, some places it's poultry, someplaces it's fowl. All I am asking is for them to classify them as pets.

I am so sorry to hear that! Do you know if someone complained? 72 hours? At the very least I would appeal that time frame so you could find suitable homes for your birds (if you really to have to get rid of them).
