P5 The reason why I'm writing this down why the out come of chicks this year I had control cross with bad hen only 2 white chicks out of 12 eggs. 2 did not hatch 1 white other was just bad. The rest black with white. Well kept wondering why thinking white in leghorn would take longer to disappear. Not even thinking about the barring. I laughed at myself for so long.
P4 That's why I want them, to sell eggs. so they were never in a breeding pen, lots of half SD Barnvelders, X rose comb ss hamburg and silver wyandotte.
The roosters from that hatch in 2025 were incomplete barring. kind ugly to me. But some lacing on chest with rose comb. Don't want that comb in the barnvelders.
P3 I have hatched about 10 eggs from her(bad one). Crossed with diff line I had been mixing with the SD Barnvelders. this is the really fun part of this to me. I can't wait to see how incomplete the barring will be.
I did get some of eggs in the incubator when my brother told me, that was within 2 weeks. and eggs were easy to know, big eggs like the leghorn but not white.
