    Chicks hatching from smaller eggs?

I say smaller and weekends birds only based on my experience with hatching and I hatched ALOT for about a year and a half. On average I was hatching 40-80 eggs per month until I got my new incubators then it doubled. So my opinion was only based on opinion. I noticed a huge decrease in my hatch...

    Chicks hatching from smaller eggs?

I'm not sure I fully agree with less time. Bantams lay smaller eggs and they still take 21 days... the only factors I have seen to have a faster hatch is raising the temp a little above 99.9 you can get away with a 101 temp and have them hatch between 19 to day 20 but just because the eggs are...

Water test for "possibly" late eggs.

I had a flock of bantams I stopped collecting the eggs and they had a bunch... they started hatching and the hens would kill them. So I would let them sit and way till the day they were hatching if I had time I would let them hatch out then take them or if I didn5 have time I would put them in...

Chick hatched with yolk sac/intestines/white mass hanging out

It's hard to see from the picture but what is the white part on the end is it soft or hard? If it is soft it could just be left over membrane from the sack absorbtion. But as far at the other part. I have had chicks sacks get stuck in the incubator grid floor, stepped on by another chic, or...

Also do you have the same amount of eggs in the incubator as when you had the previous eggs. I...

    Chicks hatching from smaller eggs?

Have fun :) hatching is a very rewarding experience. My only advice is do expect them to be smaller. Mine were not extremely bad as far as the hens but roosters were noticeably different. When they hatch please post pics

    Diy incubator

To momma coop. Take a thermometer and place it directly on a 3-4 testereggs it can take up to 2 days to calibrate an incubator and patience is key. If Temps are to low you will end up will underdeveloped eggs and possibly week chicks if any do hatch.. vice versa to hot will cook them. 99.9 is...
