    chicks disappearing

My bet is rats. Ive been dealing with them here for almost a month. They have taken 11 chicks so far. The reason why I know its not a snake is because I left eggs in over night and not a single one was taken. Ive tried everything with no luck. My Grt Pyr even killed 4 within the past two weeks...

    GAME ROOSTERS.. a question...

Is this still alive? Anyways the best way to deal with Game Cocks, keeping them safe that is on the barrels, is to have a electric fence, if you can afford it, around the whole walk yard and a good LGD Dog. I can NOT stress the importance enough of a GOOD live stock guardian dog. If your willing...

    mood change before laying?

Is it like a cackling sound or chatting? I have mostly game hens but I have noticed in My barnyards that they do make a sort of "chatting" sound before they begin to lay. It can also mean they are getting ready to go broody but since they are pullets I highly doubt that.

    top 5 breeds of dogs

I have to say that a lab raised with chickens can be allright. I had one but in the end he turned out to be an egg sucker after many years of not touching them. His main job(to him) was to follow us therefore the flock was alone if we were to go anywhere. I have a Great Pyrneese now that has...

Coop advice for free range chickens needed

Free rangeing comes with pros and cons. I free range all My birds but always have to have a good live stock dog. Wether it be a collie (hearder) or a grt pyr.
