Such an easy solution! Im so glad it wasnt more serious. I am also grateful that you posted your vet results as it will help others.
Unfortunately in my cases the pullet and roo, of course, were not even laying and most never did. I will give the current afflicted ones calcium just in case...
Do keep us informed. I have only had one success with the vitamin b but I always try it on those that experience this paralysis. I would add other vitamins too to possible help her. I do wish there could be some advancements to help with this issue in chickens. It seems to be quite common.
Im so sorry to hear you lost him. Poor thing, at least he is not suffering now. When I lost my paralyzed hen after caring for her for almost a year my good friend said well at least she is not paralyzed any longer and you know, she is correct. My little girl can fly with the others now. So...
I never heard of the liver treatment but others have also recommended vit E. I would try that in the form of a muli vit crushed and added to food/water. Again, I have had mixed success with any treatment Ive given to my ill hens and roos....some respond and make it through but most do not...
HI Angela, Im so glad vit b treatment is working. Ive had mixed success. It vitamin d deficiency is indeed the issue, it should continue to help.
Good luck and keep us posted on any changes.
That would be neat but they all say the same thing...."la dee da, but I need to see your chicken to know for sure..." at 50 dollars a pop too. Im just glad to have caring folks on here with a wealth of experience. Really, it is the experience that produces the knowledge.

I have a hen who is paralyzed and not responding to vit B...
Whatever you do, it is the best you can for her. Rest in knowing you did what you could. There is a better place for her, one without suffering. That is my belief anyway.
Jesseanne that is great news, I hope she continues to improve. Do let us know.
Regarding the worms, I have seen cases where the worms are visible in the poo.
