Look at Little Miss Cyn and her broody self.
It's been ages since I've been on here. I sold Rusty 2 and two of the Milli girls as well as the qusil to a young man wanting to show. He's had good luck with the girls. Of course Rusty has the Kentucky fungus on his legs. I still have Cyn, Gus...
I went out this morning to look for spurs. Rusty and His only have tiny found nubs. Gus is now a year old and should have full spurs in comparison to my other chickens. Rusty is what 3 now so he definitely should have them.
Another interesting observation. Rusty holds his tail to the left...
Sounds like you have a double Frizzle gene. When a bird carries double frizzle its know as a frazzle. They have brittle over curled feathers that break very easy. If you breed a frazzle to a smooth all the off spring should be single gene frizzle.
I had some one I know contact me and ask if I had any chickens I wanted to get rid of. In the same breath said his wife turned there Silkie flock out and now he only had 2 left. Well I have been thinking about getting rid of one of my Sizzle lines, but I'm sure as heck not selling them at the...
I haven't seen this hawk again, but have heard it a few times I still have all the bantam on lock down. I love all the pics. All my birds are finishing up molting. I'm looking forward to the long weekend. Hopefully the hawks moved on and I can turn them out a bit.
This one came back to the corps a day later. I think it may have something wrong with it. It has had plenty of opertunity to go after the LF and hasn't. There are 2 lg EE roos and 2 very big Brahma roos a pair of geese and ducks in that flock so they may keep it run off.
Hawks grrrrr!!!
Just when I was thinking about moving Rusty out of the flock because of his feather legs. He's earned his keep. I heard he and Gus pitching a fit. I look out and see he and Gus going crazy at something at the windows of their house. I grab the pistol and go running around the...
What do you think on these two? I think they may both be pullets. Pretty sure on the Milli. I thought at first the porcelain might be a bit, but now I'm doubting that. There are 5-6 weeks old now.
I'm really wanting to go with all clean legs. I may move Rusty out and use Gus only and see what I get there. I have enough hens to give each boy two if I had the room to separate them. I don't think I can talk Ran into building more coops right now though.
Cyn your name sake stayed out all...
I agree with chicks hatching by themselves. My hens kept tossing eggs that had piped out of the nest. I kept them wsrmcand helped them hatch. Out of the 6 I have the original two who hatched by themselves. Looks like the clean legged Milli I wanted so badly to be a too is a pullet. I think the...
LOL... you aren't going to believe this, but we don't have internet. I do everything on my phone. Makes it easy to control the kids internet doings. I don't gender on my chicks yet. Should be another week or so. Uh... No as fun as it sounds I don't want another Rusty. My quail roo is...
On a side note your namesake is one of the smartest birds I have. When I go out with feed she doesn't run to my feet. She flies over them and lands in the bucket where she stays and eats as I'm divying out the food.
