I had 4 mommas hatch out 22 babies and they are sharing them. It's super sweet to watch!! Now I have a duck and a chicken sharing a nest of fake eggs. Has anyone had a duck and chicken successfully brood together? I would give them duck eggs.

Broody #1 has ended up back on her own nest(after switching nests a gazillion times with the other broodies). It was day 21 for her yesterday and 2 out of the 3 left have pipped! I can't wait to watch momma hen take care of her babies!

By voice sexing, I know I have lots of girls. I will be keeping 6 or so girls. But I know I have more than that!

I am asking $60 each for the english/German. This is my first year doing chickens so I don't know about exactly how well the dorking will preform as a meat bird. Hopefully they will do well because I'm pretty set on raising only dorkings! :)
