I wish we were closer together. I am in Lanc. Cty about 5 miles from MD. I'm planning on replacing my older chickens either this Fall of else in the Spring.
Thinking about getting chicks soon. Is anyone near SE Lanc. Cty. ordering chicks that would be interested in allowing me to order about a dozen pullets?
I am in S. Lanc. Cty. I am wondering if anyone will be getting chicks in July and would like to order a few for us. It is just DH and I at home so I would only like 4-6 chicks.
FS - Columbian Roosters
We have too many roosters and are willing to sell them for $7. They are white with black hightlights on the head and tail. These were purchased from a hatchery in April. We are in SE PA. You can drop me an email if you are interested.
I am looking for empty rectangle talc buckets. This talc is used by farmers when planting corn or soybeans. I am in Lancaster County and would be interested in any that you or someone you know might be glad to be rid of.
I am making a chicken run for between the rows in my garden. I would like a waterer that hangs on the wire outside of their "living quarters". I thought the soda bottle cup waterers would be a good choice. However, I haven't found an animal feed store that has them locally. I am in SE PA. I...
Question on the feather dusters for the chicks - How far away from the heat lamp do they need to be so as not to be a "fire-hazard?
Also wondering about the bird feeders being used for chicken feeders. What type(s) of feeders work best? What type of chicken feed works in them? For instance...
I have perennials that I would like to trade for hatching eggs. I am in SE Lanc. Ct. I would like to set the eggs on 3/18 to hatch a day before our daughter receives her day-old chicks. I would prefer local to shipping.
I would like to set eggs on 3/18. The perennials are beginning to peek through. Is anyone interested? I would prefer local so my hatching rate would be better.
We decided to get "hatchery choice" pullet chicks. Mt. Healthy doesn't carry Turkens which we don't care for and we thought it would be fun to have various colors of chicks. They are brown egg layers. We are located near the MD/PA line.
Lancaster, PA - We are planning on ordering hatchery choice pullet chicks from Mt. Healthy for mid-April delivery. Just checking if anyone was planning to do the same. If ordered by 2/14, a per chick discount is available. If you have fertile eggs for hatching, I may be interested in some.
I am thinking I would like to incubate somewhere between mid-March and mid-April. The perennials should be beginning to appear around then also. Are your eggs barnyard mixes for the Winter and then you will be separating your breeds in the Spring or do you keep the breeds together all the...
I am located in Lanc. County, PA. I will be getting rid of some flower beds this Spring. Would anyone be interested in some perennials for your hatching eggs. I would prefer that we could swap in person rather than shipping.
Would you happen to have a Sussex pullet that we could purchase? Our daughter choose chick(ens) for her Christmas gift and this is a breed that she would like. What is your zip or town?
