    incubator versus hatcher........

    I use this all the time. I have 2 sportmans and a hatcher. Before this i used the LJ's and i have a few times used one as a hatcher with no problems just have to be sure to keep the humitity up and the temps right. i have added a wet spunge to the hatcher. please excuse my spelling.

    Depends on the type you have and how the hatch is going once they are dried off and fluffy they should be ready just take thelm out quickly as you can so as not to let out to mutch humidty.

    I used 4 of the LJ's a few years ago with out any problems very light touch on the temp. adj. Nice job Jen on the dimer knob. Over all the best thing i can tell you is keep water in it and dont over adjust it.

    I would be interested to see what the vet has to say i have a some of the same problem but not on as large of a scale when my chicks were shiped the temp droped really quickly each time there was about 10 out of 150 chicks lost and the second order was about 5 out of 150 so there was not a huge...

    NPIP certification courses are coming up in Virginia

    I did the class and loved it got my tester in yesterday and hope to test chickens this weekend.
