Yes very nice indeed! I just lost one of my jakes a couple of days ago. Don't know what happened, but we think he might have flew into the side and snaped his neck. I am just glad it was a jake, as I only have three jenny's I really cant afford to lose any of my girls . Looks like you have a...

    turkey poop

In my opinion they both look normal. It looks like your hen urine, that's the white stuff on top, may be a little loose, but nothing to worry about. Just my opinion.

    Question on poults

I totally agree with WalnutHill I have both turkeys and chickens and it is my opinion that Turkeys are far smarter than chickens. At least that's the way I see it. I never had any problems starting turkey poults. My babies always found the water and food fresh out of the hatch. Once grown they...

    Turkey Feed

I use a 17 to 20 % game bird feed, and I mix a 16% chick starter. I usually mix a 1 to 1 ratio. This keeps the feed prices down. As soon as my poults are old enough to be left out, they will free range and supplement with the same mix. Right now my poults are 3 months old, and I free feed them...

Please Help! I'm worried about my pet turkey losing feathers!!

I hate to give you bad news, but I think your turkey is probally dying. Most broad breasted turkeys usally don't live much past a year, as they were bred for meat production, and thier hearts and joints can't take the weight gain that these fine birds accomplish. If I were you I would look into...
