well this year we embrassed lifes box of chocolates and went with an assortment of chicks and ducks for change. We are blessed with 13 chicks and 5 ducks
here is what we know:
2 Pekins
2 Mallards
1 mixed mystery duck lol we love it!
3 banties not sure what kind....
5 EE
3 Red production
2 white...
The last picture is BIG RED, he was a RIR rooster, but at that time we thought he was still a hen too, he had to be rehomed once we found out he was a roo!
She just started laying 10 days ago and I have gotten 10 eggs!!!! I give her treats and tell her she is my girl and she just talks and trys to get me to let her come into the house..... she has not gotten further than the garage so far! LOL
I just posted I think mine is a red production, posted pics and they say looks like red star, and sounds right, shes the same way and I looked all over Ohio Nationals and saw nothing else that looked like her. She is the BEST
Blue Laced red? I was thinking they both are but dont REALLY know what color you call either one, I like the orange on white look of the feathers, could they be a different color type?
I hope she is not as sweet as mine and if she is you can't eat her, you have to ship her to me! LOL
You know as a chick she was mean till she was about 2 months old and then she got all sweet and cuddly (a little too cuddly with my tomato plants!) and even though you can see the pecking order...

My son was given this lovely lady for free! We just adore her! Had her from a day old (TSC freebee) she is Sweet and just the BEST! She started laying about 10 days ago she has laid 10 eggs and my only current layer!

I would have liked to add one Buff Orpington to my gals and I could only find one pair for sale and they were 50.00 so I went home....opingtonless.
