Do people lie about how many eggs they get??

Where you live, breeds of chicken, age of hens, feed, lighting all have an influence on the number of eggs we get. Sex links lay alot of eggs like them or not.

    Sick 3yo hen

Thank you. She had been wormed recently. I never thought of heart failure. First think I thought of poisoning by something she ate but she didn't get better after 5 days. I put her down it is getting really hot here and I did not want her to suffer. She was just sitting around in the shade.

Austrolorp is acting strange. Don't know what....

Sometimes they over eat something that is too much to digest or they get something that is not good. Usually they will perk up in a few days. If not try giving her some olive oil (you can give 1-2Tablespoons) from a dropper very slowly don't let her aspirate on it. That will usually help her...

    Chicken that is limping?

Had a chicken a few years ago started limping. She limped for about a week then she got better. We think she flew up on something and either jumped down wrong or one of the others started pecking her and knocked her off. Give her a little time and see if she gets better on her own.

Rogue Hen lays on the move

Doesn't matter how many nests there are the problem is which are the covetted boxes. Try putting a golf ball in each box or plastic easter eggs. They usually want to lay in a box with an egg already there, especially if they are new to laying. She may want an occupied nest and is to young to...

I think my hen has gone broody

Well that is pretty mild behavior for my broody hens. They act awful. Feathers all bowed out mean hissing and pecking. Their eyes glaze over and they make this awful deep clucking noise for a few days b/f they start setting(when I walk by).
