I think my duck lost her voice! I haven't heard her quack in weeks, and this evening she is making all the mouth movements, but nothing is coming out. Even when the two get separated the drake will call for her, but she doesn't answer. Has anybody had this happen?

Looks like my mallard egg, but mine was large. Bigger than my chicken eggs. She just laid her first egg and she is well over 6 months old.

Thanks everyone for the help. The eggs were on day 8. I will candle today but not looking good. This was our first attempt. More than likely they are done. This has been another learning experience, like everything else with these animals! I'll try again, but next time I will be more prepared!

Not looking good temp is going up to 104. I get it back to 99 then back up. I can't babysit them for the next two weeks. I'll give it a few days then candle again and see what happens.
