Just finished gettin all my chicks from our feed store. Got RIR,Buff Orp, Barred Rocks, NH, Araucanas, Jersey Giants, Silver Lace Wyandotte, Golden Lace Wyandotte, Light Brahma, Buff Brahma, White Silkie Bantam, and Golden Seabrights.

My chicks came into today at the local feed store. 2 RIR, 2 New Hampshires, 2 Araucanas, 2 Barred Rocks, 1 Black Jersey Giant and 1 Buff Orpington. Getting more at their next shipment in.

Caught a possum today in my dog proof.

Noticed yesterday that my Buff Orp hen had a couple dark red spots on the top of her comb like dried blood but isn't. Noticed it after a cold night.

MY Local feed store is having there chick day May the 7th. I think there website said they will have 500 chicks. Hopefully some good variety. Normally always have RIR,Buffs,Bantams, and Pheasants

What I do to transfer mine in is get a big wire Dog cage and put it in the center of my coop and pretty much they can't get out but can see out and see in so they get more and more adapted to each other.

First 2 sound like bobcats last 2 coon or possum

Trust me a Bantam Roo can fertilize a full grown Buff Orp.

I highly doubt a decoy Owl would work to keep anything away. I have seen where Hotels have decoy owls on the roof to keep pigeons off and the pigeons roost on top of the owl.
